Christians Meeting in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ
As a local expression of the body of Christ, our purpose is to glorify God by pointing to the Lord Jesus Christ. We pray that the information you find here will lead you to "know Him who is true and to be in Him who is true, even in His Son, Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life" - I John 5:20

How is Dearborn Chapel similar to other Bible believing Christian Churches? We are a group of "born again" believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. We come together to worship God and our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. We come together to "Break Bread;" have communion. We also come together to learn what God wants from us and to encourage each other. We come together to preach the Gospel so that others can have the opportunity to trust the Lord Jesus Christ and be "born again" and be ready to meet with the Holy God. While not unique to Dearborn Chapel, there are teachings we believe are Scriptural but are not followed by all Bible believing Christian churches. One is the primary importance of the Lord's Supper. Acts 2:42, 20:7 Another is how the Holy Spirit governs the assembly through elders, not a hired pastor. John 10:1-18, esp. 12-13. Titus 1:5-9. Acts 14:23. 20:17. James 5:14 I Peter5:15 Another is the head covering for women. This symbolizes that the Church is subject to her head, Christ. It also symbolizes that the Glory of God is on display in the Church and not the glory of man or woman. ICor. 11:1-16 Another, and of primary importance, we gather in the name and to the person of the Lord Jesus Christ alone. Any other name would be worse than superfluous. Matthew 18:20 I Corinthians 1-3 expecially 1:1-13, 3:21-23
Jesus said to her "I am the resurrection and the life. He that believes on me, though he may die, yet shall he live. And whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?" ~ John 11:25-26
